Celiac disease is an autoimmune disorder affecting around 1% of the global population. Individuals with celiac disease have adverse reactions to gluten, a protein present in wheat, barley, and rye. The immune system treats gluten as a harmful substance and attacks it.

The primary treatment for celiac disease is a lifetime commitment to a gluten-free diet. However, maintaining this diet can be challenging, particularly when eating out.
