We present you an article about our food and wine experiences with different wines that we carried out in the lounge restaurant My Way in Plaza Real.

Hello everyone! In today’s article, we bring you some new enogastronomic experiences for all wine enthusiasts to enjoy at our lounge restaurant, My Way. Recently, we’ve launched a new wine menu designed for everyone interested in tasting a variety of quality wines in an atmosphere fully decorated in the style of 1950s New York.

What Are Enogastronomic Events?

This new gastronomic concept has its roots in early 19th-century France, where it was introduced as a cultural and experiential showcase for French wine-exporting regions. The primary goal of these gastronomic events was for each region to present its local products to gourmets and culinary critics eager to discover regional specialties and gain special distinctions, whether economic or prestigious.

Today, these kinds of activities are flourishing alongside wine tourism. However, unlike wine tourism, they focus primarily on a close experience of what we understand as “good food” and “good drink,” allowing participants to explore the authentic flavors of each region without requiring prior experience or knowledge.

The Enogastronomic Experience at My Way

With these new enogastronomic experiences, we invite all our customers to enjoy the art of wine and learn about its main international characteristics, along with renowned designations of origin such as Rioja, Ribera del Duero, and Penedés, among others.

Our wine menu offers a fusion of flavors and essences from different types of wines across the region, featuring three main wine categories:

  • Red wines
  • White wines
  • Rosé wines

Do You Know the Differences Between Them?

Red Wines

Red wines are made from red (or black) grapes and undergo a specific maturation period. Due to their color, they are often referred to as “red wines” and are typically paired with meats and cheeses. The most common varieties include fruity, spiced, and balsamic wines.

White Wines

White wines are made from white grapes using a more refined fermentation process with fewer added sugars. They are usually paired with fish or seafood. The most common varieties are dry, semi-dry, semi-sweet, sweet, and off-dry wines.

Rosé Wines

Rosé wines are made from both red and white grapes, carefully processed until the wine achieves its characteristic pink hue. Their flavor is typically lighter than other types, making them the most popular choice during summer. The most well-known varieties are Grenache, Tempranillo, and Cabernet Sauvignon.

With this brief introduction, you now have the basics to start your own enogastronomic experiences. You’ll be able to appreciate and distinguish their distinct flavors at a glance. However, as you taste them, keep in mind that each designation of origin “has a special flavor,” and therefore, the taste can vary depending on its region.

Every designation we serve on our menu has a plethora of flavors for you to discover when you pick up your glass. You may be tempted to make comparisons or even have different preferences from the other diners accompanying you. In this case, we can only say: "Savor each wine in your own way."
